On the Isle of Mull, Gaelic is carved into the names of hills and harbours, swirled and whirled around in song melodies, and bound to the land itself. Yet for generations it was driven out of classrooms as children were punished with the strap for speaking it. As a result, it’s nearly vanishing. In July, 2025, the Scottish Languages Act was enacted to support Gaelic and Scots and make provisions for reviving their language through education. Now, Mull’s future is dependent on securing the status of an “Area of Linguistic Significance”.
Slippery Kisses is an audio piece made for In The Dark. On the verge of having wisdom teeth removed and warned that all sensation in the lower lip could be lost, this piece notices the significance of one’s lips and sets out to hear about some smooching.
Breakfast show with Tessa and Sarah where you can expect bangers to butter your toast to, daddy DIY disasters, and a lot of scandalous misinformation you won’t want to miss.
My Fucking Diary lives in the feral limbo found after a break up. Diary extracts collide in an audio collage to abrasively and humorously reflect on a year riddled with sex and selfdiscovery. The diaristic writing, cuts and repetitions bleed the encounters into one another, and spiral in the simultaneity found in desire and destruction. My Fucking Diary sits somewhere between a naff brash reel-esque piece and a poignant kaleidoscope documenting the sentient sexual self.
This piece has been selected to play in Bern, Switzerland at SONOHR, audio & radio festival 2026
